SPECIAL MEMBRANE STRUCTURES

Special membrane structures bring a set of challenges not associated with “standard” membrane construction. These special projects include retractable roof constructions for arenas, court yards or open air theatres where a roof is required during occasional bad weather conditions but a permanent roof would interfere with the character of the space. Retractable roofs ensure that the space can be used all year round, regardless of the weather, generating all-important revenues.

Membranes are also used by artists and sculptors and increasingly in interior architecture to install acoustic and luminous ceilings.
