Project

The OeBB Infrastruktur AG is operating the railway facilities in Austria.

With around 15 million passengers, the main station in Graz is counted among the most important junctions in Austria and a further increase is to be expected.

The aim of the refurbishment of the main station was to fit to the future requirements, especially regarding the quality of stay as an increased it quality of stay always boosts the attractiveness of railway traffic. The innovative and highly translucent PTFE fabrics which have been designed, fabricated and installed by Temme // Obermeier as large-scale skylights for the modern platform roofing, provide pleasant and non-dazzling daylight on the platforms. In 2014 and 2015, three skylights with a total of 1.650 m² were realised in 3 construction stages.

After the Salzburg station, this is the second project for ÖBB Infrastruktur where Temme // Obermeier provides PTFE fabric, thus being well established with designers and operators as a competent partner for membrane construction in traffic infrastructure projects.
