Back in 2018 Temme // Obermeier were awarded the contract to design and install the bespoke façade cladding system for Stücki Park, Basel's new hub for Innovation and Technology. Stücki Park is conveniently located in the north of Basel and consists of four new office and laboratory buildings. The bespoke modular façade cladding system opted for a stunning silver metallic PVC / PES mesh fabric that appears fresh and timeless - and it fits perfectly into the urban environment surrounding Stücki Park.
This is another example of the versatility of membrane architecture. The lightweight, customized modular cladding system also allows for shorter installation times.
The project was split into two construction phases. The first construction phase saw us complete the successful practical handover of two office and laboratory nine storey buildings in April 2020 to the full satisfaction of our client; the second construction phase is being planned and will be completed by 2023. The first phase is now open for business and provides a great amenity for occupants and visitors to Stücki Park.
