ETFE cushion roof for the tropical hall!
Allwetterzoo Münster, Germany - Meranti hall
We are looking forward to our new order - an approx. 2,500 sqm ETFE foil cushion roof including a steel supporting structure! Our client, the Allwetterzoo in Münster, is having a new tropical hall built - also known as the Meranti Hall - which will not only give a new home to animals threatened with extinction, but also set an example in terms of energy efficiency.
The result is a three-layer, elliptical membrane dome roof, which with its attractive silhouette embeds itself wonderfully in the existing surroundings of the Westphalian Zoo (see visualization).
Later, plants and animals of all kinds will feel comfortable thanks to natural daylight and tropical climatic conditions and will offer future zoo visitors a special experience.
