With the renovation of the kindergarten “Burg” the team of Temme // Obermeier realized a three layer ETFE foil cushion roof with a pneumatic shading system. The air supported cushion roof protects the playing area between the old and the new building complex. The high transparency of the ETFE roof in combination with a sun protection system enables a light flooded area. The internal sun shading system of T//O enables the roof to regulate the sun impact due to its intensity without any exterior structure.
